From first day orientation forward, employees receive training on Safe Work Practices & Procedures, Hazard Assessment & Analysis and inspecting and maintaining their tools & workplace.

Through the efforts of a joint Health and Safety Committee we are always working towards the goal of a safer, more efficient work environment for those who are affected both directly and indirectly by our work.

To date we have Train the Trainer Certification in the areas of Lift trucks, Ariel Work Platforms, Respirators, Overhead Cranes and Fall Protection/Prevention & Inspection; to provide detailed training tailored to our business & industry. We are continuing to expand on this proven approach.

All our offsite & service personal are trained to IRP 16 standards, using PST & CSTS training models. Other certification training courses for our employees include: H2S Alive, Propane Handling/Cylinder Inspection and First Aid Training.

At C&V we proudly support Apprenticeship Training & employ certified Journey Persons to ensure our workers learn to perform their work skillfully, safely and to code.

Current WCB statistics/claim costs support that we are among the top H&S performers, for 2007 we were ranked 34th out of 353 companies in our industry.

We are current members of both the Canadian HSE Registry & ISNetworld.
